The Knights of Pythias - A fraternal organization founded in Washington, D.C., on 19 Feb 1864.

The Tustin Order of the Knights of Pythias was chartered in 1882. We met for many years in rooms on the second floor of the First National Bank of Tustin building. Then in 1925 we bought the property on the northeast corner of Main and D (El Camino Real) from C. E. Utt and had a two-story neoclassical commercial building constructed. Our lodge hall and offices occupy the entire second floor with the lower level available for shops,
offices and businesses. TustinPythians.com

Broadway in the Park / West Side Story - August 6-10
Peppertree Park, Old Town Tustin 230 W First St, Tustin, CA 92780 Map

One of the most groundbreaking and romantic musicals ever written, West Side Story sets Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in the turbulent and passionate streets of New York’s West Side during the 1950s. Tony is a dreamer, ready to leave his street gang behind and face the future head-on; Maria is idealistic and looking to explore womanhood and the world beyond her family’s dress shop. When the two meet, their worlds stop — and cultural divides and societal
expectations give way to star-crossed love. Featuring a live orchestra performing one of the
most exciting scores ever written for the stage, and a story that tackles topics of prejudice, hatred, and the need for compassion between communities, this outdoor production at Tustin’s Peppertree Park will rumble in your heart long after the final note is sung.

On September 11, 2001, four U.S. planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people in a matter of hours. Behind the staggering number of deaths are the individuals, each of whom left behind family, friends and co-workers who feel the national tragedy on a personal level.

A Tustin resident and patriot Angie Kardashian, in the aftermath of the disaster, felt
compelled to do what she could as an American. Angie sold her restaurant, moved to
New York, cooked meals at her own expense for two years to feed thousands of firefighters
in more than 100 firehouses until her money ran out. Our window display is part of her journey and a reminder to all of us "To Never forget."

Nov. 4th - 5th
Originally known as Armistice Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans; that is, persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May. Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service.
